No: 58, 31 March 2026, Regarding the Attacks on the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL)
We condemn the attacks that resulted in the killing of three Indonesian peacekeepers serving under UNIFIL and left many personnel injured, and extend our condolences to the Government and people of Indonesia.
These attacks on UN entities and UN peacekeeping personnel constitute a grave violation of international law, and their perpetrators must be brought to justice.
Israel’s occupation in Lebanon is fueling the spread of war and further deepening instability in the region.
We reiterate our call on the international community to bring an end to Israel’s expansionism, aggression and occupation.
